The 81st + persons will be given a VIP pass to the next Basement event.
The Fine Print:
X Ages 11-15 only
X Scottsburg Middle School Dance and Dress Rules apply, including cell phones and hats being checked at the door. (We have phones so you can call home if need be.)
X Suggested donation: $2 or food for the Scott Co. Clearinghouse (50% supports The Basement, the other 50% is donated to a local charity).
X Parents who are willing to be chaperons, please be at The Basement by 6:30 pm for orientation.
X DJ B.d.House (Mr. Brandon) will be cranking the tunes for the evening. SO, if you have a fave, its PG rated, w/o explicit lyrics or innuendos (look it up in the dictionary), email us by Monday so we can get them downloaded ASAP!
X One night may be a battle of the bands – read the Giveaway and look for flyers

History of The Basement:
The Basement mission project is designed to respond to the question, “What is God doing” and “What does God desire for us?”.
Members and leaders within the congregation have noticed a lack of venues for local musicians, as well as a place for youth and young adults to hang out in a healthy and formative environment. Afer prayer and discernemnt, we found that the church's basement would be a good space to host musicians and offer youth and young adults a place of sanctuary. We see this as an opportunity to reach out in the Holy Spirit to our neighobrs in love, offering Scottsburg and Scott County in a non-threatening church-based environment.
There will be no admission charged for any event. However we will encourage donations (50% going to a local charity, the other 50% to support The Basement mission). When musicians perform, we will “pass the hat” for a love offering. We plan on starting with one night a month (Fri. or Sat.). If it becomes popular, then move to two nights a months and so forth.
